This project takes place at the bottom of the famous cedar mountain and overlooks the Kadisha valley that is part of Unesco Cultural Heritage.
We wanted a place similar to the landscape, raw and eternal, far from cities and the superficial. The granite stone emerging from the ground to create a space, facing the valley and the sky, translates the symbolism we sought.
In order to respect the beauty of the site, the project has no façade and is hardly visible, in an attempt to make it discreet and more of a discovery to the visitor. The cross, due to its geometry, only takes shape when one's gaze is directed in the axis of the stone.
